Okay today I have done something to my dad really upsetting. So I'm gonna show him what I learned in the everyday in school. Another reason why I'm doing this is to teach younger kids about things.



Lets start off with my school. I'm in 5th Grade. I go to Settlers Way Elementary School (SWE)

My teachers are Ms. Guzman ( homeroom), and Ms DeMont ( switch teacher). My favorite subject is Social Studies (epically the History part) and my least favorite subject is Reading. Lets start off what happened today.



Social Studies

For Social Studies where are learning about the Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights is the first 10 amendments in the constitution. Today we only learned about the first 2 amendments. The first amendment in the constitution is every ones freedom. The freedoms that I'm talking about is the Freedom of speech, Freedom of religious and Freedom of press. Freedom of Speech has limits. For this freedom you are not allowed to hurt/harm others worth this. For example if you say '' shoot him'' and shoot him and the police come you can't just say '' Well its Freedom of speech!'' When they mean is you can say that your are Catholic, Christan, or something else. Freedom of religious is that in some countries you HAVE to be a specific religion. In some countries if your practing your own religion then you'll get beten up. Freedom of Press is like you can't put in a magazine or book, about celeberties or famous people that are not true about them. If your caught of saying a lie of a celebirty and the celebirty finds out. Then they can both go to Court and the celebirty can sue you. The 2nd Amendment is mainly about people having guns. You can have a gun unless its not loaded really. But if a criminal breaks into your house you can shoot them. You have the right for people to stay out of your property. Your not allowed to play around with guns and just shoot people just for fun or even on accident. If you get caught doing that then you'll get send the jail most probably.



Reading



Today in reading we really didn't learn anything. But we did learn that the main idea is not always in the beginging. It could be in end, the middle or it might not even say it at all



Language



We didn't have time to do language.



Science



Today we went to Mad Science. Mad Science is where we go to every Tuesday to learn some Science. We learned about Dried Ice today. Dried Ice is like Ice but its easier to break. DriedIce has the 3 states of matter in it: Solid, Liquid, and Gas. If you lick Dried Ice than your tounge WILL stick. If you touch Dried Ice your hands will get a blister. Dried Ice is so cold that it could burn your hand If you put water on dry ice then the dry ice will get fizzy.



Math

Today during math we learned about how to find the area of a square and a rectangle.
To find the area you have to multiply the width and length. To find the area of a square you have to multiply the sides. To find the area of a rectangle, you have to multipy length and the width. For example what is the area of the rectangle? The width is 42 and the length is 13. The area will be 546.

And thats all we learned and did today.
